→this is a perfect project on my new dashboard tbh.

Fundamental Beliefs
- Socially mindful businesses are profitable and worthwhile.
- IoT with biosensors embedded in furniture is about to take over in a way everyone wants to resist, but can’t. Seamless integration.
Hardware and consumer eletronics - Fashion as interface
- Charming robots and fashionable AI companions for daily life and fashion girlies will dictate. More and more collaborations between fashion and tech companies.
- Jewelry can function as infrastructure without announcing itself as such. Rituals makes information exchange legible and human again.
- Fashion and ornament are early, powerful interfaces of selfhood.
- Single Purpose (Playful) Hardware is the future for the privileged. The new gaming. It creates healthier relationships with technology than multipurpose devices.
- Corporations should not be the default custodians of memory, culture, or identity. Society is almost ready to enforce this. Being a slave to your one device is for the non-privilege.
- Playfulness and ritual are interaction design tools. Our rituals with our daily tech are rooted in consumerism and abundance. We’ve reached the limit as a society.
Infrastructure for Meaning
- Humans are tired of doing the labour of passing information between apps (hAPI).
- Data is the new gold. It needs to be given meaning. Extracting relevant data about daily life from the conglomerate of products we use has huge potential.
- People are looking to simplify their lives. Everyone is tired.
- Human-curated knowledge is more valuable than algorithmically generated or optimized content.
- Source material matters; summaries, feeds, and SEO erode how knowledge is understood.
- Knowledge should remain intact, situated, and traceable to human intention.
- AI is flooding culture faster than humans can contextualize it.
Interests
- Furniture / Existing in physical spaces
- Memory / Aggregation of the past so individuals aren’t held hostage by their computers.
- Sustainability driven
- Profiling of users in a more ethical way
- Experiential Retail Design x Popups / personalization
- Accessibility in information
Personal Pitch
Why I did what I did and how does this connect to what I want to do moving forward?
- Studied business and worked at the EU because I believe everyone should feel empowered to create their own systems and solutions and know where the tools are.
- At the EU, had direct contact with the public policy and teams that shape where technology and society is going.
- Quit my job, started learning how to code and eletronics. Since then, been working with impact startups as a developer.
Next Steps
- Are there any well paid artist–technologist-first jobs? Is the answer really a sure no? Artist who builds systems vs Engineer who does art.
- Dan Shiffman → Tech & Society
- 2 sets of materials
- Creative technologist roles
- Cultural institutions
- Art + tech studios
- Research-through-practice orgs
- Residencies and fellowships
1
1. Remove social impact framing.
2

- Applied AI teams
- Climate tech
- Product engineering roles
